Theo Pencil is a talented young Ghanaian Artist born on May 5th, 1993. He lives and works in Accra, Ghana. Though he has no formal education in art, his work has nonetheless attracted worldwide attention, and has often been received with amazement and with wonder. It is the astonishing realism of his drawings that have captivated many.

Theo Pencil's full name is Theophilus Boateng Kwaku Sarpong. He was given the name TheoPencil by his friends, because of the magic he works with his pencil. He discovered his talent at the age of eight, and by seventeen he had established himself as one of Ghana’s outstanding hyperrealistic artists.

Theo's area of specialisation is the human figure. He is exceptional at colour work, but his very best works are in plain pencil. At the age of 21, Theopencil has made realistic portraits of many national and international figures, among them Kofi Annan, Nelson Mandela, Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufuor, and Barack Obama. Theo is always drawing, and actively welcomes international commissions. It would delight him were his next work to be commissioned by you!
