Lynette Swanepoel Artist's Statement, Commissions & Website
Lynette Swanepoel is a South African artist, living on a farm at the foot of Mt. Libanon in the Eastern Free State, South Africa. She was employed as senior lecturer in Graphic Design at the Vaal University of Technology Vanderbijlpark for 25 years. She then moved to a remote rural area between Bethlehem and Fouriesburg, near Clarens. Lynette works in a variety of mediums, but often returns to soft pastel, charcoal and pencil on 100% cotton. She works almost solely from photos she had taken herself. Her repertoire includes oil paint, watercolours, charcoal, lino work and digital media. Lynette is currently occupied as visual arts teacher for the seniors at a local school.
