Man has become so greedy for ownership, for power, for wealth and instant gratification, that we have become immune to the plight of the animals we were put on this earth to care for and oversee. Elephants are slaughtered daily for the pleasure of their tusks; elsewhere, their spirit is crushed to ensure obedience to perform a mundane task in the name of tourism.
Rhinos are poached and their horns hacked off while they’re still alive for personal self-indulgence. Hundreds of sharks are captured, have their fin slashed off and their fin-less body returned to the depths to fend for themselves without their most vital appendage. Why? So that we can savour an exquisite taste? The world over, 100's of dogs are baited to fight for their lives, so a small man can win a few coins and the prestige of victory at the expense of his “best” friend! Why do we sit passively by while all this occurs every day, all day! We should be OUTRAGED!!!
